Comprehensive Side Event Program at GOLF EUROPE 2008
Complimentary seminar program with advice and tips by international expertsHands-on club testing and GOLF EUROPE Putting Challenge Open Lounge –  venue for meetings and networking  
As always, GOLF EUROPE 2008, held from October 5th to 7th, 2008 at the New Munich Trade Fair, offers its visitors a multi-faceted event program. In addition to complimentary seminars in which experts divulge secrets and advice on various topics, exhibitors and industry visitors have access to the new “Open Lounge“, providing a serene island of communication within the busy trade show routine. Furthermore, visitors will be able to get a first impression of the latest equipment with the help of hands-on demonstrations.
 
The seminar program provided by the PGAs of Europe has received great approval from visitors and golf professionals alike since the very first GOLF EUROPE held 16 years ago. The program offers an opportunity to learn more about new issues or strengthen one’s knowledge of known subjects. The program includes the following topics:
 
“Putting instruction – an untapped market” – Nick Middleton, company founder and Chief Executive Officer of Break 30, speaks about “Zenjineering“, a mission combining scientifically proven mental, physical, and motion science methods to improve golf performance. Nick Middleton is the creator of the Zen Oracle Putting Training System, appreciated by tour players and coaches alike, and liberally used in the “Break 30 Putting Education Program”.

“How to get the top jobs?” – Harald H. J. Heil and Andreas Oswald of Greenwell Gleeson Company specialize in the placement of leading executives and top managers in temporary and permanent positions. The audience will benefit from their know-how to learn the strategies for finding the best jobs.

“The future trends and opportunities within golf management”“ – Jerry Kilby, Chief Executive Officer, Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE), and Andreas Dorsch, General Manager of the German Golf Management Association, will discuss the emerging trends in golf management. Kilby obtained his knowledge while working as Marketing Manager for the PGA of GB&I, and gained a wide range of management experience in his function as General Manager of the Nad-Al-Sheba-Clubs in Dubai. He has also been involved in the planning and execution of sports events, as well as in sponsoring negotiations for events such as the Ryder Cup. Dorsch held leading positions at two renowned golf clubs, and became General Manager of the German Golf Management Association in September of 2006. He focuses on financial planning, training and continuing education, as well as conception and marketing of services.

“The pathway to success - the skills that employers value in the golf business”  – Paul Dellanzo, Troon Golf European Business Board Member, made the jump from PGA pro to the management level. He coached a number of the world’s best tour players and worked as a consultant for several publications. He has also moderated the PGA’s European Tour for television. Thanks to his experience he knows very well what employers look for in skills and expertise.

In addition, Foremost Golf presents a seminar on the subject “How to compete against the internet”. The speaker is Paul Hedges, CEO of Foremost Golf. He consults and assists PGA professionals in the optimization of their business potential. Foremost Golf, formerly a buyers’ association, now counts more than 1,000 pros as members, and is one of Great Britain’s largest golf dealers.

“Putting to perfection - Experienced know-how in 2 years of putter fitting” - presented by Kramski Group. Wiestaw Kramski, General Manager of Kramski Group, offers his insights to success on the green. Kramski is a passionate golfer and developed a multiple-award-winning premium putter brand for the pro golf segment (includes the GolfMagazin Award: Best Putter 2008).

Furthermore, Stefan Rogge, Account Marketing Manager Callaway Golf Europe and
Product & Fitting Expert in Central Europe since 1999, provides an in-depth introduction of Callaway Golf Company and its products and innovations.

One of the special highlights in the GOLF EUROPE event program is the Q&A session with Martin Kaymer presented by Titleist. The 23-year-old from Mettmann is considered to be Germany’s most promising golf talent, and is listed as the second best German player in the world rankings behind Bernhard Langer. This year Kaymer already won the Abu Dhabi Golf Championships as well as the BMW International Open.

All seminars are offered in two languages, German and English.  
 
For those of you who would like to get their hands on some equipment, you have the chance to participate in all-day club testing at the large indoor driving range in hall B5, or compete in the GOLF EUROPE Putting Challenge in the indoor event area in hall B6.571/589.
 
Another premiere is the GOLF EUROPE Open Lounge, an approx. 120 square meter large lounge area for exhibitors and visitors. The Open Lounge offers all-day, complimentary internet access on provided PC workstations as well as via WLan. The lounge is also the perfect spot for meetings and networking. “Talk @ Open Lounge" also offers a number of workshops and company presentations.   
In addition, the presentation of the daily winners of the putting and driving competitions is held every day at 4:45 pm at the Open Lounge.
 
The high points of the extensive GOLF EUROPE side event program are the presentation of the GOLF EUROPE Product Awards on Sunday, October 5th, 2008, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at the Speakers Corner, hall B6.469, as well as the big get-together for all exhibitors and visitors on Monday, October 6th, beginning at 6:00 pm, at the East Entrance of the New Munich Trade Fair.
