GOLF EUROPE 2007 Announces 1st Product Contest for the Golf Industry
• The most innovative products of the golf season 2008 will be awarded the GOLF EUROPE Product Awards • 4 contest categories: Hardware, Clothing, Shoes and Accessories • Submission deadline is 25 September 2007 • The award ceremony will take place at Speakers Corner in Hall B6 on 7 October 2007
Messe München GmbH has announced a pure product contest for the golf industry within the framework of GOLF EUROPE 2007 for the first time. The GOLF EUROPE Product Awards will be presented in the categories Hardware, Clothing, Shoes and Accessories and are designed for all companies, which launch an extraordinary production innovation or new designs on the market for golf season 2008. The products submitted for the contest will be evaluated by a jury composed of members from retailing, independent industry experts and leading media representatives. In addition to functional aspects, design, degree of innovation and ease of use will play a decisive role in the selection of the winning products. Armin Wittmann, Project Director of GOLF EUROPE explained: "The criteria, which will be used to judge the various submissions, are weighted specifically depending on the category. For example design plays a substantially greater role for golf pants than for a driver. With the GOLF EUROPE Product Awards, companies will be distinguished for the first time, which set standards for golf thanks to their dedication to their product development, to which the complete industry is geared."
The GOLF EUROPE Product Awards will open a completely new chance for companies to present themselves to retailers and distinguish themselves from the competition. At the same time, trade visitors can obtain an optimum overview of current trends and highlights of this increasingly popular outdoor sport. The GOLF EUROPE Product Awards will be awarded at Speaker’s Corner in Hall B6 at 5 p.m. on Sunday, 7 October 2007. The winning products will then be exhibited in a special presentation area.
